True Ptosis Inframammary
fold remains constant and nipple falls- (3grades) often seen with
increasing age,weight loss and multiple pregnancies
Parenchymal Maldistribution
Lower breast tissue absent , fold tight and > very high, nipple and
areola positioned low (a developmental deformity)
Pseudoptosis
Nipple positioned above the fold and breast tissue descended below
the fold (often seen in breasts after pregnancy after volume loss
only)
